Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in South America, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in South America showed varied performance trends, as revealed by data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 225K and peaking at 345K by the end of December. Its weekly active users also rose, beginning at around 24.9M and reaching 27.4M during the same period.

Google Earth saw a more fluctuating pattern in downloads, starting with 73K and ending with nearly 60K. Active users showed a slight increase, from 1.4M to 1.5M over the quarter.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had a decrease in downloads from 64K to 32K, while weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 85K in late November before settling at around 64K.

Camera Location: Geotag Photos displayed a spike in downloads mid-quarter, with a high of 92K in October, and active users increased from 11K to 55K by the end of December.

Radarbot Speed Camera Detector showed steady growth in revenue, reaching around $23.7K in late December. Downloads were variable, with notable peaks and the lowest point at 21K in November. Active users increased significantly, from approximately 335K to 459K.
