In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in South America showed varied performance trends, as revealed by data from Sensor Tower.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 225K and peaking at 345K by the end of December. Its weekly active users also rose, beginning at around 24.9M and reaching 27.4M during the same period.
Google Earth saw a more fluctuating pattern in downloads, starting with 73K and ending with nearly 60K. Active users showed a slight increase, from 1.4M to 1.5M over the quarter.
